SICOF - Invoice Validation System

ADSE - Institute for Protection and Assistance in Illness is an autonomous body of the Portuguese state administration that administers benefits in the health assistance component of state employees and retirees.

The SICOF – Invoice Conference System emerged from the need to re-engineer the whole Information System that supported the invoice conference and management of healthcare providers of ADSE.

Billing and respective details of network providers is now received via web services. This procedure allowed to automate the validation of most business rules and streamline processes.

SICOF also manages the agreements with network providers, medical acts and the amounts that are subsidised.

This restructuring facilitated fraud control, automated procedures, improved financial control and modernised the whole digital component of ADSE's backoffice.
